Ethel and Julius Rosenberg: The Atom Spy Hoax, by Cook Glassgold, 1979
". . . We are witnessing the astounding spectacle of the most powerful nation on earth bound, helpless, powerless to reverse itself because it is always much easier to commit new errors, than to right old ones. . ."
From Ethel Rosenberg's letter to Julius, January 19, 1952.

FAQ's (Frequently Asked Questions)
We welcome your comments, questions and participation.

It's been over 50 years since the trial of the Rosenbergs and Morton Sobell. What is the relevance of re-opening and re-examining this case?
Truth and Justice are important purposes in themselves. Moreover, as a by-product of this trial and execution, vital organizations of American conscience have been destroyed. Truth will help rebuild and restore these organizations, ensuring our rights to free thought, free speech and free press. Justice will mean that America is restored to good health, where Republicans, Democrats, Socialists, Communists, Progressives, and Liberals can freely participate and learn from each other.
This country cannot be a moral and ethical light; a beacon for freedom and liberty, unless it can admit to past wrongs. Let us clean our record by re-opening the Rosenberg case.

What makes you claim that the Rosenbergs are innocent?
In the ideal America, people are innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a fair trial. Since that never happened in the Rosenberg case, they must be regarded as innocent. Falsified evidence, perjured testimony and trial by the media should never determine guilt.
In a moot trial sponsored by the American Bar Association in 1993, there was a unanimous verdict of "not guilty". This is an indication of how the original trial might have concluded without the influence of anit-communist hysteria, paranoia and government improprieties.

Don't the Venona Papers, released by the CIA in 1995, prove that the Rosenbergs are guilty?
It is a grave error to think that we can "convict" someone of a crime and pronounce them "guilty" outside of a court of law. The trial record alone should determine the verdict or result. Americans are or should be judged by evidence at their trial, not by evidence "found" or revealed decades later (or even minutes after the trial ends). It is our contention that the judicial process was contaminated before, during, and after the trial. Therefore, since Americans are considered innocent until proven guilty in a fair  trial, the Rosenbergs are innocent.
Even though the Venona papers may have been available, they were never introduced as evidence at the Rosenberg trial. In fact, it is highly doubtful the Venona papers could ever be presented as evidence in a court of law. Furthermore, the validity of some of the documents is clearly questionable. (see THE VENONA PAPERS.)
